Organic Gardening 101, June
28, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
This workshop will
cover the concepts, methods and materials used in organic
gardening. Topics will include
- seed starting
- crop rotations
- soil health
- pest managment
- weed management
- cover cropping
After assembling at the Main House,
where coffee and tea will be available, the workshop will take place
outdoors, so check the weather and dress appropriately. You
will walk about a mile, half of which will be uphill.
Highlights of the walk will be
- greenhouses
- vegetable production gardens
- perennial gardens
- annual gardens
